FASHION SHOW IN AID OF MAGGIE ' S
On Monday 18th July , a fashion show was held at Maggie ' s Cancer Support Centre Clatterbridge by Julie at Kaftan Heaven , Resort Wear brand in appreciation of the support she and her husband received from Maggie ' s during her husband ' s terminal illness this year .
On one of the hottest nights of the year , over 100 women came and enjoyed the colourful array of stunning holiday wear and kaftans modelled by lovely volunteer models . The show was compered by Mr . John Scott , fashion guru extraordinaire ! Bubbly and delicious nibbles were on offer with a raffle for a gorgeous diamond and pearl pendant necklace offered by Julie ' s husband ' s business , Kayes Jewellers of Chester .
The aim of the night was to raise valuable funds for the wonderful charity Maggie ' s , which offers a place of respite and support for patients and their families whilst attending Clatterbridge for treatment as well as introducing the new centre to guests who weren ' t aware of its existence .
A great evening was had by all and the popular Kaftan Heaven fashion show together with the raffle raised over £ 3,500 on the night and proved to be a great success !
