Ethel and Earl
Ethel and Earl were enjoying a nice dinner
out when their server placed two pieces of
cheesecake on the table. One piece was,
obviously, larger than the other.
Ethel says to Earl, “Please choose which ever
one you like.”
With that, Earl takes the larger piece and
then places the smaller one in front of Ethel.
Ethel says to Earl, “Why did you take the
big piece? That was not polite.”
Earl asks, ‘”Which piece would you have
taken?”
Ethel responds, “I would have taken the
smaller piece; of course.”
Earl then says, “Well, that’s
what you have now?”
