KIESELSTEIN presents new findings in shaving and hot-drawing technology KIESELSTEIN as a co-exhibitor at the booth of Wire Machine Systems KIESELSTEIN, the German producer of wire drawing and wire shaving machines participates in the Interwire show as a co-exhibitor of their US-Agent Wire Machine Systems. KIESELSTEIN especially dealt with hot drawing of titanium grade 5. Fundamental findings were made regarding the pretreatment of the wire, the optimum cross- section reduction and drawing speed as well as the setting of temperature. KIESELSTEIN will use the know-how gathered to improve their technology of hot wire drawing for the benefit of their customers. Due to its extensive R+D activities KIESELSTEIN has become leading in shaving technology i n the world. Currently, their focus is on shaving of new materials, such as titanium and titanium alloys, magnesium wire and memory alloys. In their in-house testing center, they carry out shaving trials in order to test these new wire materials, new shaving die materials or die geometry or modify plant settings. Customers are invited to bring their material for shaving trials at KIESELSTEIN in order to convince themselves of the extraordinary surface quality that can be reached. KIESELSTEIN is looking forward to present more detailed information on wire shaving and hot- drawing as well as our complete portfolio of wire drawing equipment at the Interwire show (booth no. 1251). Besides shaving, KIESELSTEIN gathered extensive knowledge and experience in hot drawing of wire.
