What is the paintball scene in Norway like?
The paintball scene in Norway is still growing
and we see more and more players every year.
Up until now we have had one major league,
NPL, but I have heard rumors about another
league forming. Hopefully that’s good news
for the sport and maybe we will see more kids
joining this awesome sport in Norway as well
Do you have any sponsors?
Yes, we do, and they are the reason we are able
to play paintball all over the world. Dye Paintball
has sponsored us for the last 5 years and they
always provide us with the best gear on the
marked. RSH media is our media sponsor; in
addition, Sniper Paintball, and Rockstar Energy
Norway sponsor us.
What advice would you give to a girl who
wants to start?
Hmm.. Any advice? I guess I would tell her start
as soon as she could. As long as she’s not
playing she is missing out on all the fun!
Don’t think that paintball is a very
difficult game to explain to people who
are not acquainted with the sport?
Let’s be honest; even players sometimes
don’t understand why they are receiving
penalties…Could this be the difficulty to
promote our sport?
I think the general concept of the game is
not too difficult to understand. 5 on each
side, you get a point if you manage to get to
their starting gate without being hit and first
team to reach 3,4,5 or 7 points(depending
on what division and event your playing) in
the given game time wins. Oh, and if you are
shot, no matter where, you’re eliminated.
I think the problem is that there’s more than
one focus point, and that’s something that
you can’t change without changing the
whole game. If you compare it to football
or basketball there’s one focus point, one
ball, but in paintball there is something
happening on the whole field. I don’t know
all the rules in basketball or ice hockey but I
still enjoy watching it, so I don’t think the
rules of our beloved game is the problem. A
spectator will understand that the player did
something he/she shouldn’t have done
and therefor gets a penalty.
I think the reason it is difficult to promote
our sport is because we shoot at each other,
but that’s paintball for yah…
I think Wipe
Paintball Magazine
is doing a great job
promoting paintball.
Thank you for
asking me to for this

honored!
