Family Connection’s Clothes Closet Not Accepting Donations Our COVID-19 response has limited the number of people who enter our building to staff and volunteers only. As a result, no clothing and household goods are being taken home by clients as they cannot enter the premises to choose items. We accepted donations after closing the building for a few weeks. Now, our storage room is literally packed to the ceiling. Until we resume normal day-to-day operations, we cannot accept clothing or household goods. We will concentrate our efforts on the primary job at hand which is to feed hungry people in our community. Mark Your Calendar! The Kiwanis Club of Blue Ridge raises funds through their August Ro- deo, fall Raffle, and weekly Bingo. Kiwanis donates over $30,000 yearly to the community by giving to various charities and school clubs. Family Connection received a generous $5,000 donation from Kiwanis during our Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.
