Special Olympics Illinois is excited to share that the Center of Excellence( COE) platform will officially begin rolling out across Illinois!

The COE is a new, easy-to-use online portal where Special Olympics Illinois athletes, coaches, families( parents, guardians, caretakers, etc.), and volunteers will complete registration and receive important information quickly and easily.

What this means for you:

All athletes must be registered in the COE system to participate in Special Olympics events starting December 1, 2025.

You’ ll receive instructions and support to set up your family’ s account and complete all required forms. Patrick Russell will be available to answer questions and make the process as smooth as possible.
