This class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays in the evening and
Saturday at 9:30-11 a.m. The level IV classes are preparation for
entering the advanced level of training. In the Royal Academy of
Dance, and Russian Academies, the thought process is when one
is entering into the intermediate level, it is the dancer’s final effort
to gain the strength she or he is going to need to enter into the
advanced studies of ballet. If there are weaknesses in the dancer’s
training, such as a short Achilles tendon, tight hamstrings, lack of
rotation in the legs, and especially if the lower back/spine are not
properly developed; it would be advantageous for the dancer to
continue the level IV curriculum to correct the weaknesses.
