Feed Fannin Bowls of Hope Event Raises $26,000 On a wonderful pre-spring Saturday, March 18, hundreds of people passed through the doors of Willow Creek Falls in Blue Ridge to taste and enjoy a myriad of soups provided by local restaurants in the fourth annual Bowls of Hope event hosted by Feed Fannin. Local potters made hundreds of gorgeous bowls. Ticket holders chose their favorite upon entry to the event and then enjoyed bowls of tasty soup while live entertainment was played on the deck. Attendees browsed through over 150 donated items from the Silent Auction. BOWLS OF HOPE— 2017 Over 75 volunteers help to create a marvel- ous event for over 500 attendees. After the event, Feed Fannin Chairperson Connie Gal- loway announced that all of the efforts netted “a little over $26,000.” Feed Fannin provides the majority of their funds to the Family Connection Food Pantry. Their efforts, along with those from commu- nity members, ensure that we are able to provide carts full of food to those who are in need in our community. Feed Fannin is the pantry’s largest contributor annually. Did you miss this year’s event? Be sure to put the 3rd Saturday in March into your cal- endar now! Each year this event just gets better and better. Photos: Top: (L-R) Feed Fannin founder Barbara Ferer, Georgia Speaker of the House David Ralston, Connie Galloway, Feed Fannin Chair.
