Astronomy at the Stokesville
Observatory
Our night skies are full of wonder and unearthly marvels.
If you catch yourself staring at the stars on a clear dark
night, fascinated by the sky’s beauty, then this evening
is for you! Join us for a presentation by Earl Downs,
a JPL Solar System Ambassador, tour the Stokesville
Observatory and look through the observatory telescope
trained on some of the wonders of the universe. There
will be no moon so the skies will be very dark for
excellent deep sky observations. In partnership with the
Shenandoah Valley Stargazers. Club members will have
additional telescopes set up for those in attendance for
viewing the night sky. Sign up early so you won’t be
disappointed. Limited space! All ages. Saturday, March 21.
