Park Maintenance
Hotline: Duck Pond
Sediment Removal
This fall and winter we will be dredging our duck
pond to reduce the sediment which has built up
over the years. This must be done periodically
to maintain the health of the pond by keeping
a normal flow of water passing through it. This
also ensures the aeration fountains will continue
to function enhancing the water quality for the
inhabitants of the pond. During this renovation
work we will also be reducing the fish population.
The end result will be cleaner water, a deeper
pond, and a more enjoyable place to visit.
