As always, the calls and messages to us have remained steady. We currently receive 260 help requests every month. These come from phone messages, emails, our website, and social media. Chris Perdziola, our Family Resource Specialist, has continued to answer these requests and talk through everything with parents, grandparents, autistic adults. and professionals Topics have included:

·       Lawyers for various legal services

·       Tracking devices, safety concerns

·       Transition to adulthood including post secondary education, group

homes, waiver funding, employment

·       Support and social groups

·       Autism evaluations for all ages

·       Daycare and respite services

 

Jennifer Salamon, Director of Communications and Outreach, has been busy getting ready for sensory friendly events. She consulted with Phipps Conservatory & Botanical Gardens for their upcoming sensory friendly day on January 23rd. Along with her son Roman, she is helping the Pittsburgh CLO bring A Musical Christmas Carol to our audience in 2022.
