If you ’ ve never experienced Joel ’ s story first-handed , I must tell you , it is definitely a one-way journey . This literal masterpiece of a videogame is so captivating and emotional that the plot could even make one cry . And I ’ m not just saying that because I really want you to try this game out , but because the emotion it conveys goes so hard that players can actually relate to the protagonists . Imagine a game that deals with traumatic things like loss , loneliness , or even despair yet it excels at throwing all those things out of the window by slowly integrating themes of hope , redemption , or even bonds . Even better , the game focuses on the main character ’ s perspective only , with the audience only knowing as much as he does , yet later understanding the hell everyone has to go through as well .
