explain this very well. And a new study by Michael Rampino, a geologist and professor of Biology at New York University, entitled “Earth Has a 27.5- Million-Year ‘Heartbeat,' But We Don’t Know What Causes it,” may be a little off the mark. (see: Nature, 5/21/21 article by Jacinta Bowler.)

The Elders also said that, the First world or civilization was destroyed by fire, which could have been caused by a larger meteor that

struck earth near Winslow, Arizona and created

a large crater that is still there. Scientists estimate that this event happened 50,000 years ago. Could this event have sparked a world fire if earth was in a hotter period like we are today? The Second world or civilization was destroyed by ice, or an ice age that occurred around 25,000 years ago when the Earth entered the Last Glacial Maximum, a period of climate change that caused temperatures to drop and glacial masses to expand. This event caused sea levels to drop and allowed the Bering land bridge to rise out of the ocean. (O’Rourke 3/13/14.) The Third world or civilization was destroyed by water, when the melting ice caps raised sea levels and caused a great flood that came early or ahead of its predicted time the last time the twins left their post, around 12,500 years ago, as Dan Evehema argued in his 1995 book.

James White, a paleo-climatologist at the University of Colorado - Boulder stated in his 1998 report that the “Antarctic ice cores hints that there was an abrupt warming 12,500 years ago and it may have been global.”

This last event established our present climate and, if correct, reveals a 25,920 cycle or string of time. Charles Hapgood in his book Path of the Pole, 1958, suggested that there was a transition of the pole 100,000, 75,000, 50,000 years ago (and had evidence of a transition 25,000 years ago but this did not fit his assumption), and 12,500 years ago. A reoccurring cycle or heartbeat with the last transition happening early, 12,500 years ahead of schedule. So, Rampino might be a few years off if all three of these events happened in the last 50,000 years; but he is credited with a new discovery and he is not sure what caused it.

The Elders also spoke of the Earth’s rotation and tilt changing very rapidly after the twins left their post between the second and third worlds or civilizations:

The twins had hardly abandoned their stations when the world, with no one to control it, teetered off balance, spun around crazily, then rolled over twice. Mountains plunged into the seas with a great splash, seas and lakes sloshed over the land, and as the world spun through cold and lifeless space it froze into solid ice.(See: Waters, Book of the Hopi, 1963, p 16.)

I believe ancient civilizations built their buildings and observatories in line with the equinoxes, the winter and summer solstice, and marked north, south, east, and west during these different time periods. I wrote a book about it in 2009, entitled Stonehenge - If This Was East, that supported the evidence provided in the Hopi Creation Story, but very few listened.

These were the kind of predictions of which the Elders spoke. No mention of hippies hair, longhorn cows, or wagon wheels.
