MESSAGE FROM THE PARK BOARD PRESIDENT
WILLIAM CASEY
Commissioner since 2003
Dear friends and neighbors,
Winter is on its way, and we can’ t wait to celebrate with you at the Glenview Park District! This winter is packed with opportunities to get outside, get active and make lasting memories with family and friends.
Kick off the holidays with Turkey Skate at the Glenview Community Ice Center and enjoy public skating, hockey and ice bumper cars. Then step into a transformed Park Center for Festival of Trees presented by LightKeeper Pro, where you can cast your vote for your favorite decorated tree, visit with Santa and the Grinch and sing along with carolers.
At The Grove, winter takes on a whole new charm with our beloved Christmas Candlelight Tours. Over at Historic Wagner Farm check out our new Centennial Farm Exhibit and decorate cookies at our Gingerbread Cookie Jubilee. And for a special holiday treat, join us for Breakfast with Santa at Coarse Italian! The, join us back at The Grove in January for Robert’ s Yukon Adventure Day, a fun exploration into Robert Kennicott’ s Alaskan explorations.
As the season of giving approaches, please remember Giving Tuesday on December 2. If you’ d like to make a difference close to home, consider donating to the Friends of Wagner Farm, Glenview Park Foundation, Grove Heritage Association or the Glenview Fourth of July Committee.
Ready to get moving after the holidays? Park Center Health and Fitness is offering a free weekend for the community. Come in and experience our fitness floor, tour the facility and meet the staff and trainers who are ready to help you meet your wellness goals.
