I am thrilled to share some exciting news . The Glenview Park District is newly CAPRA accredited ! CAPRA is the only national accreditation for park and recreation agencies and is a measure of an agency ’ s overall quality of operation , management and service to the community . This mark of distinction indicates that an agency has met rigorous standards related to the management and administration of lands , facilities , resources , programs , safety and services . Less than 3 % of park districts have achieved CAPRA accreditation . Congratulations to the amazing staff that make our parks , facilities , services , and programming among the best in the nation .
The Park District was also honored to receive the Partnership Award for over 50 years of collaboration with the Grove Heritage Association from the Illinois Association of Park Districts during their Best of the Best Awards on Friday , October 20 . The event also recognized Commissioner Casey ’ s 20-year service anniversary and Commissioner Tosh ’ s 10-year service anniversary . Congratulations to them both !
