The Glenview Park District joined the elite ranks of park districts across the nation by earning accreditation through the Commission for Accreditation of Parks and Recreation Agencies ( CAPRA ) and the National Recreation and Park Association ( NRPA ). CAPRA accreditation recognizes park and recreation agencies for their exceptional quality of operations , management and service to the community . It signifies that an agency has met exacting standards in the areas of land and facility management , resources , programs , safety and service .
The Glenview Park District is one of only 206 agencies who hold CAPRA accreditation nationwide and one of only nine agencies in Illinois .
