A New Home: Matthew's Hope A fter years of planning and countless hours of hard work, Matthew’s Hope has opened the doors at their new Forever Home, located at 611 Business Park Blvd., Suite 101 in Winter Garden. This new 6,750 square foot facility, located off Story Road just across from the Orange Technical College – Westside Campus, combines their Administrative Offices, Nurses & Social Workers Offices, the Garden of Eatin’ Food Pantry, Clothing & Hygiene Pantries, and the Hope Chest Workshop and Warehouses into one spacious and beautiful location. The new location is also along one of the few Lynx bus routes in West Orange County, which will help Matthew’s Hope serve more people as they become even more accessible. Currently, the Matthew’s Hope mini-bus brings people in from various locations around West Orange county to participate in Tuesday Outreach Ministries. 4  | WINTER GARDEN MAGAZINE | OCTOBER 2018 Outreach Ministries help guests of Matthew’s Hope to sign up for services such as getting medical help or a haircut, laundering their clothes and shopping in the pantry. There is a nurse and a social worker on staff, as well as regular visits from a Veterans Administration representative, a nutritionist and a mental health worker. Currently held each Tuesday, with their new space and better accessibility, it’s possible a second day of services may be added. Matthew’s Hope Chest Workshop, the primary work opportunity for guests of the ministry and one which helps to develop woodworking skills, now has ample space to store their creations along with an amazing workshop.
