Winter Garden Magazine November 2018 | 页面 3

Editor’s Note November. The very mention of the month of November fills me with a mix of anxiety and anticipation from football, elections, the advent of holiday preparation and yes... Shopping! It’s black Friday, green Monday, Shop Small weekend. It is that time of the year again, get out and VOTE! Voting is a privilege and also a responsibility. Vote as you please, but vote, please. You cannot complain of the results if you do not go cast your vote. cee castillo [email protected] Publisher / Editor-in-Chief Editor Brett Dault [email protected] Contributors Audrey Costa michelle L. curtis Brett Dault Allison Couture Otero Tracy pretorius Gabriella West Marion E. Joiner Street Winter Garden, FL 34787 407.966.3446 We are very lucky to also have the opportunity to show our appreciation locally with our votes. As you walk into one of our local business and eateries – and we have a few newcomers in the WG – make sure you check in and vote for your favorites in our Best of Winter Garden Awards! November 11 th is Veteran’s Day. As an ARMY Veteran, I ask you to reach out and thank those you know have served, and their families. It can make a big difference in someone’s day when they feel their service and often sacrifice are appreciated. As you prepare your shopping lists this year, keep in mind that you can always pick up a little extra non-perishable food or an additional toy and bring it to our office and we will make sure it gets to those in need right here in the WG. Every month I have to think about what I want to say to the WG. What I want to convey. What message I want to send. I am often asked about adding an editorial where we can let all of you, WG, express your wants and don’t wants. I’m all for that. I want each of you, at any time, to feel free to contribute, give us ideas on what you want to see and we will do our best to deliver. As we look back at all of the things we are grateful for, we thank all of you for allowing us to be a part of the WG community. As we look forward to our new home in the heart of Downtown Winter Garden, we are excited to soon be able to welcome our readers. As for what message I want to bring you this month? Simple. I may not be as present as I’d like or have been in the past, but I am as committed to this publication as I was at the first print and to working to make it representative of our amazing community. I love the WG and I want to show that love through this publication. From and through the efforts of Brett, Taylor, Sam, to the contributions from Ally, Marion, Audrey and (anyone else specific this month or contributors at large), this is your Magazine, WG.
