t’s FINALLY cooling off here in
beautiful Winter Garden – I can go
outside without sweating from areas
of my body I didn’t know existed...
SCORE! It’s time to get outside, enjoy
the cool breeze, perhaps hit up our
world-renowned farmer’s market,
and show off that adorable pup of
yours! I, for one, look forward to
Saturdays and Sundays on the town
square so I can see familiar faces, visit
my favorite places, and run into the
numerous four (sometimes three, two,
or even feathered) legged friends that
accompany their humans whilst out
and about. Petting (after properly
asking their person if it’s ok) a dog
always makes me smile and I think
my furry comrades quite enjoy it too.
In fact, a dog’s walk may be one of the
most important parts of its life. Next
to the word “treat” or “cookie”, I think
“walk” ranks right up there with most
dogs’ favorite word.
Such a simple thing that us humans
get to do every day – why is it so
fun for a dog? A walk for a dog is an
opportunity to let a dog be a dog. A

dog to do what dogs do; they want to
