5th Anniversary
F
ive years ago, a group of of local residents
realized that our little enclave of Winter
Garden was missing something integral to
any community – a place for artists can gather,
ideas to flourish, with classes to participate
and art can be created, shared, enjoyed, and
procured. After years of tossing around ideas
and firming up plans, their dreams began to
become a reality in what is now the Winter
Garden Art Association (WGAA) and 127
SoBo Gallery.
A 501(c)3 non-profit association, WGAA
expands public access to art by maintaining
a facility and programs that nurture the
individual and foster growth in the arts. The
facility provides space to educate, explore,
experience, and celebrate the many aspects of
visual art and culture. Workshops and Summer
Camps are offered for children in 2nd through
8th grades, there are daily after school and
weekend classes taught by certified public
school educators for children and teens, and
even seasonal family events for parents and
children to create projects together.
The Gallery and Association are located in
what was once Winter Garden’s original fire
