Turn of the 20th Century Business District
The business district of Winter Garden, Florida, photographed prior to the 1909 and 1912 fires that destroyed
all the buildings pictured. Winter Garden’s business district was located at the intersection of East Plant Street
and North Main Street.
The building pictured in the middle is the Dillard and Boyd General Merchandise Store. The foremost building
was used for Dr. James A. Davis’ pharmacy and on the side is an advertisement for Dr. Bell’s Pine Tar Honey.
This photograph was taken circa 1900-1909 and is provided courtesy of the Winter Garden Heritage Foundation.
