n 1998, artist and founder,
Ken Austin, organized a group
of watercolor enthusiasts in
Orlando. Initially known as
the “Aquamedia Society”,
a spinoff renamed the “Central
Florida Watercolor Society” began
in September of the same year. The
Central Florida Watercolor Society
(CFWS), is a non-profit organization.
Our mission is to promote the medium
of watercolor to the community
through membership exhibitions,
demonstrations, artist promotions
and sponsored activities, and is open
to anyone interested regardless of
expertise. show to feature the best works by
CFWS artists and hand out cash
awards. The juror for this year is
internationally known watercolor
artist Michael Holter, NWS, TWSA,
OPS, SWS. The reception/awards
ceremony will take place on Friday,
March 15th, from 6 – 8 pm in beautiful
Lake Concord Park, adjacent to the
Art House. The public is invited.
This season, the Central Florida
Watercolor Society celebrates
their twentieth anniversary. The
group meets monthly for artist
demonstrations and announcements
of upcoming events. Our group
believes that education and the arts
go hand in hand. Reception Date:
March 15 th , 2019, 6 – 8 PM
