We last chatted with singer/songwriter John Lee Wyatt
in April 2017, when we also enjoyed his two full days of
singing at the Bloom & Grow Garden Society’s annual
Spring Fever in the Garden event. He’s a busy man to
follow and has been performing more and more in
Orlando and Lake Buena Vista the past few months.
We recently met up with John to check in and see what
he’s been up to, all while enjoying a golden afternoon in
a grassy field in the beautiful backlands of Lake Nona.
You’d mentioned working on releasing some new original
music this year, how’s that going for you and how was
your time in the studio?
“So as of a few months ago I’ve been on a hiatus of
releasing music. I needed some time to focus and hone
my sound and writing. I went into the studio three times
and came out with a final product I wasn’t satisfied with.
But here in these last few weeks I finally found the songs
I’ll be releasing to the public.”
We’re excited to hear some new tunes from you! Any clue
as to the name of the songs, or where we will be able to
find them?
“I can’t exactly tell you what the names of the songs are,
but I can tell you there will be two...maybe three. They
will be available on iTunes, Spotify, etc. maybe will do
a CD, who knows...definitely my website as well, www.
johnleewyatt.com.”
What else have you been up to and where will you next
be performing?
“I still hold my Sunday evening spot on the Front
