Restaurant of the Month: Hagan O’Reilly’s
Only short drive from downtown WG and just
off State Road 545 (Avalon Rd.), you can grab a
taste of authentic Irish fare at Hagan O’Reilly’s
Pub. Owner David Miller recreated an
authentic Irish pub in the spirit of one run by
his grandfather. The local restaurant’s heritage
is linked to the Hagans, Cassidys, O’Reillys and
the Egans -- if you’ve ever had the chance to
travel through Ireland, you may have seen one
or two pubs with these family names on it.
In addition to having a large bar and dining
area, there are cozy rooms and private nooks
throughout the pub designed for festive or
romantic occasions, or for a more private
small group dining experience. There is also
a large outdoor patio area with a large bar, a
cigar area, five large screens, and pool tables
and dart boards. The cigar area offers a wide
selection of the finest cigars, and servers will
gladly recommend the best cigar pairings with
your favorite drink.
On the menu you’ll find traditional favorites
such as Shepherd’s Pie, Irish Stew, Fish &
Chips, and Bangers and Mash. Their Pubinspired menu also showcases a great selection
of burgers, wings and a variety of appetizers,
salads, entrees and desserts. A couple of our
favorites are the Potato & Beef Croquettes,
Loaded Tater Tots, and Uncle Patricks Bread
Pudding. On Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays
(from 5:30-9:30pm only), Hagan’s offers a fresh
raw seafood bar with tons of oysters, crab, and
shrimp, each available prepared in a variety
of ways.
Happy Hour runs from 11am - 7pm and
features great drink and shot specials. Hagan
O’Reilly’s is located at 16112 Marsh Road and
is open daily from 11am - 2am. Go and enjoy
some 'Good Craic' (good times) with the great
gang over at Hagan’s anytime.
