BUSINESS PROFILE
STASHA BOYD & MIKE LUTZ
audio description for the visually impaired.
“Audio description is to visual accessibility what closed
captioning and sign language is for the hearing impaired,”
commented Stasha. “It’s really become an area that I
personally have a lot of love for, because there are people
who would love to experience museums, and we help them
to become involed and more fully enjoy those experiences.”
Having completed specialty training in this area,
Q Media works to insert descriptives and reference
points into tours to enhance the experience
for those that are blind or visually impaired.
“One of the best parts of doing this has been having
the opportunity to travel to all these places,” said Mike,
“and to experience them and get a better education
about things we had no clue about. And then to convert
that knowledge into a shareable story that achieves
a specific emotional goal for others to experience.”
Mike and Stasha are excited for their next project,
developing the audio described tour for the Wright
Brothers National Memorial in Kill Devil Hills, North
Carolina. Locally, you can experience their productions
at the Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education
Center of Florida in Maitland, Modernism Museum
Mount Dora, Fantasy of Flight in Polk City, Kennedy
Space Center Visitor Complex, the Exploration Tower at
Port Canaveral, the A1A Scenic & Historic Coastal Byway
(Ponte Vedra to Flagler Beach, FL), Sarasota’s Ringling
Museum of Art, and many others. Q media has also
produced a walking tour for the Winter Garden Heritage
Foundation, which you can experience by scanning the
