S
ummer is such a phenomenal season for
inspiration because you can really have fun using
pops of vibrant colors in your designs that you
may feel more hesitant about using normally;
especially when putting unique tablescapes
together for your wedding or any other event.
The “inspiration” for this design came from these
tropical salad plates. We used them as the base for
our color scheme and played with our creativity from
there. A great way to dress up your table and give it
that unique look that will have all of your guests in
awe is layering. We really enjoyed layering this table
by pulling out some of the more bold summer colors.
By choosing a fun patterned plate we were able to bring
the bright pink in with the linen napkins and vibrant
green out through the dinner plates. To keep the table
from feeling overwhelming yet elegant we went with
a classic white linen and added an overlay that has a
beautiful black stitching along its edge. Our third layer
within the linens was a white runner detailed with black
x’s. This added some fun texture to our more simple
white linens. We then decided to bring in a modern
feel with the straight lined black chairs and added a
touch of color with the pillows, by pulling that light blue
color from our “inspirational piece” to tie it all together.
The succulents and natural greens really completed
the look and gave this table the perfect summer vibe.
