says Winter Garden Fire Dept and the
picture on the truck, their badges, and
their patches include Lake Apopka, the
Water Tower, Downtown Clock, Citrus,
Fire and Medical emblems. This branded the Fire Department as belonging to
the City of Winter Garden. It is unique
and sets us apart from other departments.
3.
We want to be a destination and
not just a stopping point in the career.
Because of our values and our motto:
“Keeping Everyone Safe * Everyone
Goes Home” we get applicants from
as far as Kissimmee and The Villages.
They have heard what a great place this
is to work and the opportunities our
department offers. “Keeping Everyone
Safe * Everyone Goes Home” is a joint
collaborative. We work with businesses and citizens. Mr. Businessman
keep your area clear of hazards that can
obstruct our access. Have your MSDS
book close to an escape area so it can
be accessed upon exit. Citizens, if you
don’t have a smoke detector by the bedrooms, we will provide one to you at no
charge. Have a meeting place set up in
case of fire that everyone goes to. This
allows us to Keep Everyone Safe so that
Everyone Goes Home. At the end of the
day, we want to go home to our families.
