In 2015, the outlook for real estate in the Winter
Garden area is bright. Lorraine Burch of Avalar Real
estate Services expects the area to continue to be a
hotbed for New Construction homes, as Horizon
West Communities expand. Homebuyers enjoy the
energy efficiency of new construction, the latest styles,
and the fact that they should have no repairs needed
for next 10 years. There are currently 20 new home
communities actively selling in Winter Garden and
Horizons West.
Even with the large assortment of new home
communities, the resale market surprisingly has not
slowed down. Winter Garden continues to be a Seller’s
market at the end of 2014 with only 4 months of
inventory. During 2015 the market is expected to
become a balanced (6 months of inventory is
considered a balanced market). Lorraine Burch says,
“A trend that I am seeing is people familiar with the
West Orange area want resale homes, particularly near
the historic Winter Garden. ” They like the walkable
town, the great lifestyle including the West Orange
Trail, numerous community events, dining &
shopping. But most importantly, these homes have
more generous sized lots. Well maintained homes
close to town will continue to sell quickly. In 2015
home values are expected to increase at a healthy rate.
