Plant Street In this riotous ride , complete with audience participation , six young people in the throes of puberty candidly disclose hilarious and touching stories from their home life . Played by adults , the “ tweens ” spell their way through a series of challenging and off-the-wall words hoping to never hear the soul-crushing , pout-inducing , life un-affirming “ ding ” of the bell that signals a spelling mistake . Workshop Plein Air Techniques with Award-Winning Artist Mike Jakubowski
Saturday , February 4 , 10 am to 4 pm
Winter Garden Art Association , 127 Boyd Street This workshop serves as an introduction to oil painting with specific emphasis on creating fresh , lively paintings from nature . Learn how to select subjects and employ basic composition strategies . Students will witness demonstrations and create at least one original painting . Instruction will include studies , locations , equipment , paint , paint mixing , media , brushes , and tips for painting panels vs . stretched canvas . All the techniques and styles you need to get started in plein air painting or take your plein air pieces to the next level will be covered . How to protect finished artwork and proper framing will also be included in the demonstration . Skill Level : Beginner to Intermediate . Instructor will provide materials . Experienced students may bring their own equipment and materials ( no canvases larger than 11 x 14 , please ) if they prefer .
