My husband Daniel and I have been married for 8 years
and we just “get” each other. He accepts my loud mouth,
huge personality and non-stop chatter and I accept his
love of Star Wars, obsession with football, and his 3rd
grade sense of humor... And we adore each other. I think
we’re pretty cute!
that Daniel married a lemon... But he wouldn’t trade me
for anyone else.
We have been through sickness, loss of a child, unemployment, poverty and so much more in the 8 years we’ve
been married. And it has never been easy. We work on
our marriage every single day. It wasn’t love at first sight.
We weren’t soul mates. But we CHOOSE to be in love
everyday and we CHOOSE to be soul mates. Because
LOVE is a choice.
Daniel and I met in Atlanta, Georgia in 2006. I was
rebuilding my life after Hurricane Katrina as I’m a New
Orleans native. What I remember most about the beginning of “US” is that he made me laugh... And that I hadn’t
laughed in a long time. Two years into our marriage I was
