Holiday Beauty Gift Guide

Audrey Costa

It ’ s easy to get overwhelmed by what to get the beauty lover in your life . Uncertain shoppers can be lured in by attractive packaging and low-cost palette sets with shades in an array of dazzling colors – but beware ! Usually these holiday sets contain products of lesser quality then the brand might be known for . But if you ’ re smart , the frugal beauty consumer can use the holiday season to stock up on favorites , experiment with new formulas , play around with the latest hyped goods – or if you ’ ve been a really good boy or girl – all of the above . Ask any makeup fan what they want for Christmas and they could probably rattle off at least ten items before having to take a breath . But if you ’ re looking to surprise your glamorous loved ones with must-have beauty gifts without having to take out a second mortgage , here are some suggestions sure to be on their list this year .

Stila Magnificent Metals and Glitter and Glow ($ 24 )
‘ Tis the season to sparkle and shine . And luckily for us , glitter has never been so easy and long-lasting . Praise ! No more icky glue tubes or torrential fall-out , this product takes the hassle and maintenance out of wearing the sparkly stuff . The pearly luster and shimmery sheen dries quickly resulting in a shine so bright Rudolph might be forced into early retirement . It wears spectacularly on the lids without looking tacky or sloppy . Seriously , glitter has never been more sophisticated . The formula does just what the product promises , “ locks in sparkle with minimal fall-out .” Did I mention how easy it is to use ? You might suffer the occasional transfer or a sparkle or two on the face , but that hasn ’ t stopped me from lusting after the entire Magnificent Metals line .
