and youth sports programs for the community. Youth
sports programs are designed to encourage boys and girls
to develop fundamental skills and a basic knowledge of
the rules of the game as well as practice teamwork and
healthy sportsmanship attitudes.

FENCING CLINIC
Experience the "swashbuckling" sport of fencing! These classes
focus on balance, proper grip, footwork development, attack and
defense. All equipment is provided.

LACROSSE – BOYS
Improve your skills and stay sharp during the offseason in
this exciting winter lacrosse program! With instruction by GBS
Boys' Lacrosse Head Coach Matthew Larsen, players partici-
pate in an indoor instructional program playing both box and
trashcan lacrosse using tennis balls. Box lacrosse uses smaller
goals and has fewer players on the field, allowing for more ball
touches. Trashcan lacrosse is a half field 2 v 2 game.
Required Equipment: (Hockey equipment may be used)
(1) helmet, (2) gloves, (3) elbow pads, (4) shoulder pads,
(5) lacrosse stick, (6) jock-strap/athletic cup, (7) mouth guard,
(8) gym shoes.

GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP CODE
FOR PARENTS AND SPECTATORS
The Glenview Park District has established a Good
Sportsmanship Code for Parents and Spectators which is
distributed to all participants in park district Youth Sports
Programs. This code sets a standard of behavior for parents
and others attending youth sports contests that will help
assure a positive experience for all program participants.
