Who is a Park District resident? How do I know if I’m in a program?
“Residents” are defined as individuals who reside within the
Glenview Park District boundaries or contribute financial support
to the park district through property taxes. Your real estate tax
bill gives verification of your park district. Check the map on
page 75 for general boundary guidelines. If you are registering online, you will be able to print your own re-
ceipt. If you are registering in person, you will be given the choice of
an emailed or paper receipt. If you mail/fax your registration, your
receipt will be emailed or mailed to you. If you are placed on a wait
list the initial receipt will show that you are on the wait list and you
will receive an updated receipt once you have been placed in the
class. In the event your program is cancelled, you will be notified
and your program fee refunded.
The park district reserves the right to request proof of residency
prior to processing new households. Nonresident fees are generally
25% higher (unless otherwise indicated), up to a maximum of $100.
Anyone with a signed purchase contract for a home or a signed
lease showing they will reside in the park district when the program
they are registering for begins may register during the Resident
Priority Registration period and pay resident fees.
If you have never registered for a park district program before, or have
changed your residency within the Glenview Park District boundaries,
you must submit a paper registration form along with one of the follow-
ing documents: house purchase contract or apartment lease, current
gas or electric bill, real estate tax bill, or homeowners or rental insur-
ance policy. Be sure to include your email address when filling out the
paper registration form and contact us if you change your email.
What forms of payment are accepted?
Checks should be made payable to the Glenview Park District.
A $20 processing fee is charged for returned checks. The park
district also accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card and debit
cards on which a MasterCard or Visa logo appears.
Program Waiting List Policies
1. Participants may only be added to a wait list section if they have
not been accepted into another section of that same class. Once
the participant has been accommodated into a section of the
program, they may not maintain a waiting list spot for any other
section of that same program.
2. Participants may be placed on a maximum of one waiting list
section of any program.
3. To be added to a waiting list, a program registration form must
be completed and the program fee paid in full. You may not be
added to a waiting list by phone call or handwritten note. The posi-
tion on the waiting list is based upon when the registration form is
processed by the district.
4. If there are no openings after two meetings of the program, your
payment will be refunded in full.
May I register for a friend?
To register for a friend you must bring a completed registration form
on which the Waiver and Release of All Claims and Assumption of
Risk has been signed by a parent or legal guardian. Only one addi-
tional form per person will be accepted when registering in person.
