DANCE CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Beginning Dance
For dancers who are excelling in Ballet Star class or plan to pur-
sue ballet as a main dance choice. Basic turns, jumps, leaps and
basic center combinations are introduced along with more com-
plex ballet steps. Pre-approval is required to enroll in this class.
Beginning Dance • Intermediate Dance • Advanced Dance
Students learn a variety of modern, classical ballet, and jazz tech-
niques, while using lyrical and contemporary movement.

Ballet I dancers learn body alignment, French terminology and
musicality with an introduction to beginning barre and center
work. Ballet II dancers are introduced to intermediate barre and
center work as they continue to develop proper alignment and
muscle engagement. Dancers must test out of their current level
in order to graduate to the next one.
