on every platform , but that ’ s a quick path to burnout . Instead , focus on one or two platforms at most that make sense for you and your company .
Most social channels now have scheduling options built directly into their platforms , and they favor that content more than third-party scheduling tools . To ease the burden of feeling like someone “ always has to be on ,” you can also batch your social media content by spending a few hours writing and scheduling several at once . Then , you only have to worry about regular engagement by commenting and sharing other posts with your target audience . Once you have this dialed in , only then can you think about AI tools that help you schedule content , like Repurprose . io , and monitor engagement with a tool like Sprout Social .
CLDA Mag : New tools surface daily , so how does someone decide which ones are the best for them ?
Brumleve : Write down a few marketing goals , reverse engineer how you want to get to those goals , and then document your processes . ONLY THEN can you figure out where the software fits in . Doing the opposite will cost you a lot of time and money .
CLDA Mag : Give us three to five questions these users should ask themselves to help them pick the best tools .
Brumleve :
1 : Do we have a method of documenting our meetings ? If not , put a plan in place to start collecting and organizing your meetings and conversations .
2 : Do we have pages on social media platforms where two to three people can manage by themselves ? Review the copy and pathway to conversion to make sure the page on social media has the exact phrasing and calls-to-action that will appear on the company ’ s website .
3 : Do we have a general guide for those posting about the company on social media along with regular prizes for top-performing posts ? Don ’ t make the posting guide too strict , but focus on different messages that promote the company in a positive light .
4 : Do we have a regular review planned for your digital presence ? Set a recurring meeting every quarter or six months to review marketing goals and initiatives to ensure you hit bigger-picture targets .
5 : Do we have the question “ How did your hear about us ?” on our website lead forms . This low-cost and low-maintenance technique can help your leadership team know what tactics are working ( or not working ).
CLDA Mag : What are your top dos and don ’ ts for using AI to generate social media content ?
Brumleve : Do not rely on AI to do all of the work . These tools will get you about 80 % of the way there with common marketing tasks . The real key is how they help you generate and reiterate ideas you already have . Use AI as your superpower , but rely on something other than it as your sole crutch , or you risk making your brand sound just like everyone else .
CLDA Mag : Give us a preview of your presentations at the Final Mile Forum .
Brumleve : It ’ s called “ Embracing AI : Low Barrier Solutions for High Impact Results .” I will outline easy-to-implement AI tools that can help conference participants streamline their business in productivity and efficiency like they ’ ve never seen before . I look forward to seeing all of you at the conference ! CLDA winter 2024 I customized logistics & delivery Magazine 43
