Review : Stranger Things
One of the most binge-worthy shows from Netflix

During times like these , where people are constantly being locked-down because of COVID-19 , it ’ s starting to feel like 2020 again , but that doesn ’ t mean people should just watch Tiger King all over again . Luckily , there are many more interesting shows that are binge-worthy for long periods of time . One of them being the hit-Netflix show Stranger Things . I ’ ve recently finished Stranger Things ( so far ) this summer and it is amazing .
But first a rather interesting background story on Stranger Things . Stranger Things was created in 2016 by the Duffer Brothers and it was actually inspired by a ‘ true ’ story . The show was originally called ‘ Montauk ’ and was inspired by an alleged US military programme called The Montauk Project . It ’ s basically an experiment on children with mind powers like mind control , mind reading , and time traveling .
If you ’ re not convinced to watch Stranger things , then here are some reasons . First of all , it contains a lot of nostalgic references . Stranger Things takes place in the 80s . Some people that I saw who watched the show had nostalgia from certain details in the show like an Orange Julius , New Coke , or old arcade games . But , if you ’ re like me , and don ’ t get the references , or some other reasons , you should still watch it because of its plot . Stranger Things has a plot that is scary , funny , and / or emotional and sad . Stranger Thing ’ s plot also comes with twists and major character development . But , there are still bad things about it .
Some bad things about this show is that it has a habit of killing fan-favorite characters at least once each season . It also , unsurprisingly , contains horror and blood that can ’ t be handled by certain types of audiences . But unfortunately , it can ’ t be solved because those details are the key to a good show . Overall , I think Stranger Things is a great show , so my rating of it is a solid 9.5 out of 10 .

Other than the interesting background story , Stranger Things was a huge success , becoming very popular right after the first episode of the first season ! And as for availability , it can be found on movie websites like Netflix , or pirated movie websites . So , when it comes to prices , it really just comes down to whether you ’ re willing to pay money , or if you ’ re able to cope with popup ads and redirects .
