It ’ s common sense that people with higher educational levels are more likely to earn higher salaries . According to the graph about SES from the government , an indicator of social economic status of households , it reveals that poor families are more likely to drop out of their educational processes , ultimately contributing to an enlarged income gap . As the family wealth increases , the educational level of those families becomes higher , too . It shows that the level of economic status of the family and the educational level of their children have positive relationship as they earn Bachelor ’ s or higher degree more frequently than other families with medium or lower income .
