Commodore Raudabaugh Honored for Dedication to Safe Boating

HARRISBURG – On February 7 U . S . Coast Guard Auxiliary Commodore Richard Raudabaugh was honored by the Pennsylvania Boating Advisory Board for his many years of service dedicated to making recreational boating a safer and more enjoyable pastime . The award , a framed rendition of the 2006 Trout / Salmon Stamp , was presented by Laurel Anders , Director , Bureau of Boating , Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission ( PFBC ); Tim Schaeffer , Executive Director , PFBC ; and Loren Lustig , Chair , Boating Advisory Board at their winter meeting .
Raudabaugh has spent 11 years as the State Liaison Officer for the U . S . Coast Guard Auxiliary working extensively with the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission promoting vessel safety checks , public education courses , and safety patrols . A lifelong boating enthusiast Raudabaugh first joined the Auxiliary in January 1974 and has held a progression of leadership roles including as Commodore for Fifth District Northern Region that covers southcentral Pennsylvania .
HARRISBURG – Boating Director Anders , Executive Director Schaeffer and Chairman Lustig present COMO Raudabaugh with an award of appreciation on February 7 , 2022 . The occasion marked Raudabaugh ’ s stepping down as State Liaison Officer ( SLO ) for Pennsylvania with the U . S . Coast Guard Auxiliary .
