After law school , Rouse worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Michael D . Fritz , District Court Judge , in Clay County , Minn ., before accepting the associate attorney position at Oster Law Office .
Edison grew up in Bismarck and graduated from Century High School . He earned a bachelors of business administration degree from the University of North Dakota ( UND ), double-majoring in marketing and entrepreneurship . Prior to attending law school , Edison worked as a landman in the North Dakota oil industry . He attended law school at UND . While in law school , Edison was active in the energy law and environmental law student organizations and competed with the UND Law Trial Team in regional competitions . In 2017 , he was awarded a Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation Scholarship .
