The 6th annual fundraiser for The Furniture Bank was held at Casalife in Toronto in October. It was a privilege to be included amongst over 29 designers in the opportunity to transform chairs to raise funds for a charity which will support over 500 families out of homelessness and displacement in the coming year. Giving back this way is a wonderful way to connect with colleagues, participate in a cause which can benefit from our skills and bring awareness to the importance of a house feeling like‘ home.’
This is an annual exposition for Canada’ s design and architectural community. This conference and exposition is an opportunity for Canada’ s design and building professionals to network, gain professional knowledge through seminars and keynote speaker talks, and new product presentations. I was excited to see renowned Designer Karim Rashid speaking on the true definition of design and the influence of digital technology on design.
