Winsted Summer Festival
People in Winsted and surrounding communities look forward to the second weekend in August because that ’ s when it ’ s time for the Winsted Summer Festival .
This event is an opportunity to connect with friends and neighbors while enjoying food , beverages , fun activities , and live music at Mill Reserve Park by Winsted Lake .
Activities for children include a fun run , a treasure hunt , fun bounces , and a youth bean bag tournament . Friday night always closes with fireworks on the lake and live music . Saturday mornings of the festival always start with the Winsted Run Around the Lake , in which people of all ages walk or run around Winsted lake . A children ’ s pedal pull also takes place during the Summer Festival . Participants work hard during the competition as family and friends cheer them on .
Each year , Winsted royalty is crowned on the last day of the celebration . The 2022-23 Winsted Ambassadors are Alison Rehmann , Hallie Millerbernd , and Brooke Baumann . The grand parade also takes place Saturday night , with area residents honored as grand marshals to lead the parade .
The Winsted Summer Festival committee is looking forward to hosting the event Friday and Saturday , August 9 and 10 , 2024 . They are set to kick off the event Friday night with the Hula Creek and Dirt Road Dixie and fireworks over Winsted Lake .

Winsted Winter Festival
The first weekend of December is a chilly time of year , but in Winsted , there ’ s plenty of warmth and light to go around .
Each year , the festivities begin with a medallion hunt on Monday , followed by a holiday outdoor lighting contest . Friday night hosts open houses for many local businesses and live music at St . John ’ s Lutheran Church . The festival continues Saturday morning at the Blue Note Ballroom with many children ’ s activities , treats , hay rides , and a visit with Santa . In addition , the Winsted Library hosts a silent auction , and Winsted VFW Chicken Dinner and the Winsted Arts Council are always up to something fun . Finally , the event ends Saturday evening with a lighted Christmas parade .
This year ’ s Winter Festival is set for Friday and Saturday , Dec . 6 and 7 .
