Post office
The post office is located at 155 Main Ave . W . and can be reached at 320-485-2310 . Hours are 8:30 a . m . to 12:15 p . m ., and 1:15 to 4:30 p . m . Monday through Friday , and 9 to 10 a . m . Saturdays .
House numbers
In order to locate your home in an emergency , owners are required to display their house numbers so they can be seen easily from the street , with a minimum size of 4 inches in height .

Snowmobile usage
The city allows snowmobilers to drive the most direct route from their house on city streets to outside city limits and return to their home on the same route . No snowmobiling is allowed between the hours of 1 a . m . and one-half hour before sunrise .

Winter parking
From Nov . 1 through March 31 , there is no parking on city streets from 2 to 6 a . m . In the case of more than 2 inches of snow , parking is not allowed on any streets until the streets have been cleared of snow .
City offers rental space for gatherings
People searching for a special place to host a meeting , concert , gathering , or other program can find what they need at Winsted City Hall .
The community room , named the Vollmer Room after the city ’ s first mayor , Felton Vollmer , is located on the lower level of city hall . Floor-to-ceiling windows provide a spectacular view of Winsted Lake and the city center plaza , while a fireplace gives the room a cozy ambiance .
The Vollmer Room comfortably seats 80 people , and is available for Winsted residents to rent . Contact city hall for information related to rental policies and procedures , as well as rental fees and damage deposits .
