Jason Kreis Named First-Ever President of Soccer Operations
On October 29, the Miller family and Miller Sports + Entertainment( MSE) announced Jason Kreis, Real Salt Lake’ s first-ever player and its MLS Cup 2009-winning head coach, as the Club’ s President of Soccer Operations.
In this capacity, Jason supports and oversees the sporting structures of Real Salt Lake and Utah Royals FC, and he reports directly to Steve Starks and ownership. While both teams will continue to operate independently, this new sporting structure enables greater development, collaboration, innovation and commitment to building championship cultures.

Long-time RSL executive John Kimball will continue overseeing all business operations of Real Salt Lake and the Utah Royals FC. John, one of the founding executives of Real Salt Lake, rejoined the team as club president in 2020. He previously was part of the Larry H. Miller Sports + Entertainment management team, serving as president of Vivint Arena, as well as president of the LHM Tour of Utah.
