It Takes a Team
Promoted as America’s Toughest Stage
Race (and the riders will tell you the slogan
is no overstatement), the Tour of Utah
invited teams of cyclists from all over the
world to crank out more than 500 miles
while climbing an astonishing 43,780 ft in
elevation—the equivalent of riding a bike
to the summit of Mount Everest one and
a half times! And while the cycling teams
had their sights set on stage victories,
another team was hard at work making
sure the race would be a success.
