In 2022 , the Larry H . & Gail Miller Family Foundation made donations to institutions of higher education across Utah :
• Gifted $ 10 million to Salt Lake Community College for the new Gail Miller School of Business and the Larry H . & Gail Miller Business Building .
• Donated $ 3.5 million to Weber State University for the new Miller Advanced Research and Solutions ( MARS ) Center .
• Gifted $ 3 million endowment to create a perpetual directorship at Utah Valley University ’ s Center for Constitutional Studies .
• Donated $ 2.5 million for the Jon M . Huntsman School of Business building at Utah State University .
• Gifted $ 500,000 to the Gary R . Herbert Institute for Public Policy at Utah Valley University .
• Granted $ 250,000 to Davis Technical College for building a new emergency training services center .
In September , Greg and Heidi Miller created a scholarship at the University of Utah to provide full tuition and a living stipend for students who are single parents . This scholarship is coordinated with the University of Utah ’ s Women ’ s Resource Center . The 2022-2023 pilot cohort includes fouryear scholarships for six students .
The Miller Legacy Project provides an educational giving experience to future generations of the Miller family and is specifically designed to perpetuate the philanthropic legacy of both Gail and Larry . This year , the
Miller Legacy Project made its first donation to Salt Lake Community College for scholarships and childcare vouchers .
As the students who benefit from these scholarships and gifts share their knowledge , they become leaders . It is exciting to see these students who have overcome obstacles , beaten the odds , shown dedication to their education , and aspire to improve the world , become capable leaders in their communities .
