On October 20 , Salt Lake Community College announced the new Gail Miller School of Business and the Larry H . & Gail Miller Business Building . This is the first public business school named after a woman in Utah . The Larry H . & Gail Miller Family Foundation donated $ 10 million to Salt Lake Community College for the new building and business school . ( Read more on page 38 ).
Weber State University Opens New Miller Advanced Research and Solutions Center
Weber State University opened the Miller Advanced Research and Solutions ( MARS ) Center on August 24 , 2022 . Located at the Falcon Hill Aerospace Research Park near Hill Air
Force Base , the MARS Center will create opportunities for WSU students and faculty to research and apply innovative solutions to real-world problems in the realm of national defense .

Miller Company , we are increasing our focus on technology and investing in solutions that will continue to enrich lives ,” said Steve Starks , CEO . “ Supporting STEM education is a top priority of ours , and we are grateful to partner with Weber State University to build future leaders .”
With the $ 3.5 million donation from the Larry H . & Gail Miller Family Foundation , WSU will provide hands-on learning experiences and prepare students for careers in advanced manufacturing in aerospace and defense .
Madison House Autism Foundation
The Larry H . & Gail Miller Family Foundation committed $ 500,000 to Madison House Autism Foundation ( MHAF ) to help build more neuroinclusive communities across Utah with and for autistic adults and other neuro-divergent individuals .

Up to 40 % of homeless adults are estimated to be on the autism spectrum or have other cognitive impairments . The most significant reason for homelessness among this population is the loss of a person ’ s caregiver .
