Flying High as an Air Force honorary Commander
Blake Andersen , Executive in Residence at the Larry H . Miller Company , was named an Honorary Commander for the Hill Air Force Base 388th Fighter Wing . The Honorary Commander ’ s Program is an Air Force program that creates one-on-one opportunities to inform and educate local community leaders about the missions of the United States Air Force and the local bases .
In September , Blake reported for duty at the Pentagon in Washington , D . C . and experienced first-hand the extensive training and capability of all of the branches of the United States military as part of a fully immersive public liaison program hosted by the Office of the Secretary of Defense . Blake joined 32 other civilian leaders from across the country for the Joint Civilian Orientation Conference ( JCOC ) 94 , where they gained rare insights on what life is like inside the Armed Forces . Throughout the week ,
Blake and other participates engaged closely with all branches of the United States military – Army , Marine Corps , Navy , Air Force , Space Force , and Coast Guard .
“ I am grateful for a company that supported me and allowed me the time off to be able to go out and serve with and learn more about all five of our military branches . By serving as honorary commander at Hill Air Force Base it became my pleasure to receive a nomination to learn more about our military and the chance to meet with the Secretary of Defense and his staff ,” said Blake .
Utah Food Bank Wins in Real Estate Competition
Destination Homes and Larry H . Miller Real Estate went head-to-head to see which could collect the most food donations as part of a food drive for the Utah Food Bank . Their combined efforts ( DH 531lbs , LHMRE 332lbs ) provided 719 meals ( 863 total pounds of food ) to Utahns in need !

Larry H . Miller Megaplex Theatres shared a special video message as part of an initiative Megaplex is working on to create a safe space for team members . The video message includes snippets from multiple blockbuster movies that share the message of loving , listening and caring . The message is part of Live On , a statewide effort in Utah to prevent suicide by promoting education , providing resources , and changing our culture around suicide and mental health . Real Estate Blood Drive
Larry H . Miller Real Estate sponsored a blood drive with the American Red Cross and invited LHM employees , family members , and tenants of the Jordan Commons campus to participate . The blood received from the 27 donors will result in more than 80 lives being saved / enriched .
