Ben Gamel celebrates with the team after hitting a home run.
“ The Ballpark at America First Square combines a best-in-class baseball experience with thoughtful district development,” said Shannon Bartch, director of Sports + Recreation + Entertainment at HOK.“ Larry H. Miller Real Estate and Miller Sports + Entertainment maximized the project’ s potential in their first season, programming public spaces creatively and establishing a destination for events of all sizes.”
The three-story stadium celebrates Utah’ s dramatic landscape and community spirit. Inspired by the Wasatch Mountains, stainless-steel panels around The Ballpark feature a laser-etched mountain design, while terraces and open spaces mimic natural elevation. Fans enjoy 360-degree concourse views of both the field and surrounding peaks.
The 6,500 fixed seats, combined with open gathering spaces, bring total capacity to 8,000, creating an intimate, high-energy experience. Premium amenities include fieldlevel suites, Founders Suites, Batter Box Loges, twin party decks and two all-inclusive clubs behind home plate.
Locally inspired dining, family-friendly areas and smart technology-enabled markets— including an Amazon Just Walk Out store— make The Ballpark one of the best fan experiences in Minor League Baseball.
At the heart of the venue is a public plaza that connects The Ballpark with Downtown Daybreak’ s surrounding retail and dining. The plaza hosted more than 100 concerts, community events and festivals this summer, including a performance by Ben Folds. This winter, the area will transform into Winter Village, featuring festive holiday lights and outdoor ice skating, ensuring year-round activity.
“ The successful inaugural season at The Ballpark is a testament to our commitment to build the places where life takes place,” said Brad Holmes, president of Larry H. Miller Real Estate.“ We are proud to create a welcoming environment that celebrates sports while fostering connection and community. As we look ahead, we remain dedicated to developing spaces that inspire, engage and serve the vibrant community of South Jordan and beyond.”
On the field, the Salt Lake Bees finished the 2025 season with a 65-84 record, ending in eighth place in the Pacific Coast League. Key performers included Victor Mederos, who was named a PCL All-Star, Sammy Peralta, Pitcher of the Month for July, and Niko Kavadas, PCL Player of the Week in September. Kyren Paris hit the team’ s final grand slam of the season, and the team saw strong hitting performances from Ben Gamel, Matthew Lugo and Chad Stevens.
In addition to a new home field, the team also unveiled updated logos and branding for the 2025 season, energizing sales at The Ballpark and its new team store.
The Salt Lake Bees Team Store opened on May 20, 2025. The store will be open to the public year round— a first in franchise history.
