History was in the making on April 18, 2025, when the Larry H. Miller Company and Miller Sports + Entertainment( MSE) announced the acquisition of a controlling interest in RSL Football Holdings, marking a significant milestone in Utah’ s sports landscape. The acquisition includes Major League Soccer’ s Real Salt Lake( RSL), the National Women’ s Soccer League’ s Utah Royals FC, the Real Monarchs of MLS NEXT Pro, and the RSL Academy. The acquisition also included real estate assets including America First Field, Zions Bank Stadium, and Zions Bank Training Center.
David Blitzer, who has served as the Club’ s principal investor since 2022, will remain the second-largest shareholder. This new partnership combines MSE’ s deep local roots with Blitzer’ s global sports expertise.

The acquisition was also endorsed by both league commissioners who were in attendance at the announcement.
