We are excited to highlight the incredible milestones and achievements happening across our platforms and businesses in this issue of Winning Spirit Magazine.
The second quarter had a historic start on April 18, when Miller Sports + Entertainment announced the acquisition of Real Salt Lake and the Utah Royals FC. Becoming stewards of this club is a signature moment of our organization and the Miller family. We’ ve been welcomed warmly by MLS and NWSL, and we believe this opportunity will further our mission to enrich lives and make the places Where Life Takes Place.
Shortly after the Real Salt Lake and Utah Royals acquisition, we held the 15th annual Larry H. Miller Week of Service, honoring our founder’ s birthday. Employees from across the organization spent the week giving their time and energy to multiple service projects – including cleaning up the Jordan River walk, holding a blood drive, beautifying local parks, and volunteering with foster care organizations – to name a few.
The Miller Family Foundation, in partnership with Intermountain Health, announced the donation of $ 500,000 in funding to support more than 38 nonprofit organizations on Salt Lake City’ s Westside through the Westside Community Grant Initiative.
In May, the Larry H. Miller Company, LHM Real Estate and Miller Sports +
Entertainment joined our community partners at the South Valley Chamber of Commerce to cut the ribbon on the new Salt Lake Bees Team Store at the centerfield entrance of The Ballpark at America First Square.
